Casa Mariposas is a modern villa set in the heart of the rural Axarquia region of Andalucia, just 45 minutes from Malaga Airport.
Situated on a small and peaceful development, Casa Mariposas enjoys stunning views of Mt. Maroma in the National Park of Sierra de Tejeda; Alcaucin, and of the whole valley south to the sea at Torre del Mar. These views can be enjoyed from the lounge, master bedroom, rooftop solarium and the poolside.
Casa Mariposas has one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms - all with en-suite facilities (bed-linen and towels provided but please bring your own beach and pool towels). The large lounge-diner is equipped with satellite TV and a DVD/CD player; large picture windows to take in the view, and patio doors leading out to the poolside. The kitchen is fully-equipped with microwave, dishwasher, full-size oven and hob; washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
The private pool area is full of flowers and is well provided with parasol, sun-loungers and BBQ.
Casa Mariposas is less than 5 minutes drive from the villages of Puente Don Manuel and La Vinuela with a good variety of small shops including bakery, butcher, chemists, health center, post office, cafes, bars and restaurants. A guide to all local facilities and places of interest is kept in the villa. The rural towns of Periana and Alcaucin are a short drive away.
The area is excellent for hiking - with both tremendous hiking and short scenic walks accessible from the villa door, Lake Vinuela being only 10 minutes walk away. There are also many scenic drives to pretty hill villages. The low-key beach resort of Torre del Mar is only 20 minutes drive away.
